What is UMakers?

UMakers is California, makerspace) that opened in late 2016. Makerspaces are places where people can gather to create, invent, and learn.

We are the "Creative Class", and part of the "sharing economy"  and Freelancers who Now Make Up 35% Of U.S. Workforce

Our members share access to maker tools and technologies such as 3D printers, a laser cutter, a wide format printer, a CNC router and a CNC milling machine. The value of this equipment is over $90,000.

Come meet and develop relationships with future potential business partners and have a cup of coffee. Leverage UMakers as an inventor’s lab, open prototyping lab, and small business accelerator or incubator. (The first and only one in San Bernardino County!)

Memberships

Monthly fees start at $ $75 for adults, $125 for 2 or more friends/couples

Our classes are free and taught by experienced members who “give back” to our community.  In addition to member prepared instruction, We often use some curated, free, blended online learning methods. (Instructables, UDEMY, Youtube.) We have a small student to teacher ratios of less than 6:1(often privately tutored.)

You can bring your own materials or purchase some onsite for convenience without outrageous markups!  We do not add expensive equipment usage fees.

Hours

We are open 7 days a week from 9am to 9pm for those age 14 and up. Parents must actively participate with those under the age of 18. There have been some crunch times where long time members have worked until 5am.

UMakers is ...

  • A place to meet and work on team projects together.

  • A place for businesses to send their employees to get their “creative on”.

  • An Art’s, Crafts and Electronics store for members, including free workshops.

Free Coffee, Free Parking, high speed WiFI.
