Handmade Wine Box
Instead of buying a few gifts for the holidays, I decided to make a few wine boxes made of wood. The entire process took about 3 hours from start to finish as I had to create everything from scratch.
The project started by borrowing a design I found on the web.
I recreated the design in this case using Corel Draw.
I sent the file to the Full Spectrum Laser Cutter and used this to create the box.
I sanded down some of the pieces and dry fitted the box.
Once I was comfortable with all the pieces fitting properly, I began gluing the pieces together.
Once everything was glued, I applied a Danish Oil to the entire box to give it a nice look.
And this is the final wood wine box.
I took it home, added a bottle of wine. It made a bit hit during Christmas and New Years Holidays!
